In 1967 the late Kalaithanthai Karumuthu Thiagaraja Chettiar, doyen of Textile Industry, purchased P.Orr & Sons. He was an educationist and philanthropist. P.Orr & Sons is presently managed by professional Board of Directors headed by Mrs. Valli M Ramaswami as its Managing Director. It is a part of Loyal Textile Mills Limited Group,which has a global annual turnover of over Rs.1,700 Crores.
